Welcome to UraIchi Events! I am your host, [personal profile] cywscross :) Most of you reading this probably came from tumblr and/or discord, but if you are new, this is basically a community dedicated to people who ship Urahara Kisuke x Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach, and are interested in participating in the yearly events.

Announcements for any future UraIchi events will still be posted on both tumblr and discord (links are on the side). I created a corresponding Dreamwidth blog though because some event formats are easier to host on a Dreamwidth platform. I don't foresee a lot of activity over here (UraIchi Week for example will always be hosted on the tumblr platform), but there might be PCs that just work better on DW, so that is why this community now exists.

The comment section is open to anons so you don't absolutely need a DW account just to sign up for an event. The only reason you might want to get one is if you want to post your fanwork(s) to this community, but each event comes with an AO3 collection anyway so it's entirely up to you. And even when an event is hosted here, I'll still link the official event posts over on the tumblr blog and discord, so you won't have to worry about missing anything if DW isn't your thing.

That's about it. Please read the general rules of conduct here if you haven't seen them yet. And if you have any questions, you can send an ask on tumblr or just ask me over on discord, or you can leave a comment under the Rules post.

So, here we are! It looks like we'll be doing a Prompt Table format for this year's December Prompt Challenge, not something I've ever seen done for an event but hopefully everyone will have fun anyway!

The way this will work is:
  1. Anyone can submit prompts via this (one last) poll. You don’t have to be a participant to submit, and you can submit more than once. It will run until October 15th September 20th, 2019. Feel free to submit as many as you want.
  2. I will then organize them into a table, with one prompt per square. I'll try to include all the prompts I get, but of course, multiples of the same prompt will just count as one, and if I think any prompts don't fit the criteria (included in the poll) very well, I'll have to take those out too. Also if the table gets too big, I might have to cut a few, but I don't really foresee that being a problem.
  3. Once the table has been set up, I'll post it on a Dreamwidth post where participants will be able to claim as many prompts as they want to create fanworks for. You won't need to have an account there to join, so no worries if you don't want to get one. All future event announcements will still be posted on tumblr and discord too so there's no risk of you missing anything even if you're not on DW.
  4. The end goal will be to finish the whole prompt table (every prompt square will have at least one fanwork for it) by January 1st, 2020. Let's see how we do =D

Below is the general information you need to know about UraIchi PC4. I've included a timeline, a link to a more detailed list of rules for this event, and a link to the prompt submissions poll.

Here's the prompt table for PC4! There were so many, I had to cut it way down, but hopefully there's some decent variety here for you guys to choose from. For the squares with more than one prompt (ie. Different First Meeting AU / Meet-Cutes), I tried to group some of them if they were similar enough or can be considered in the same category. You can combine them together in your fanwork or just write one of them, it's up to you.

Rules for this event are listed here. If you've already read them and wish to make a claim, scroll down and get started! Have fun!

Note: This table is huge so you might have to scroll a little to the side to see the eighth column. Just remember it's an 8x8 table, 64 prompts total.

Prompt Table )

To participate:
  • Claim at least one prompt square in the comment section below. Anons are open so you don’t need a DW account. Make sure you comment with:
    • Your username (wherever you plan to post your fanworks),
    • And the prompt square(s) you want to create fanwork(s) for.

That's it! You can get started as soon as you leave a comment, no need to wait for a response. I'll add you to the Active Claims list and give you a creator tag that you can use here on Dreamwidth if you ever want to post to the community (just for the first time, if you come back more than once, you'd use the same tag but I'd note down your new claims). If you want to claim another prompt square, feel free to come back anytime while the event is open!

Here is the list of Active Claims. Again, it's just to keep track of who's writing who so no worries if you see someone has already claimed a prompt you want to create a fanwork for. If you wish to drop a claim, let me know in the comment section under this post.

  1. Each square equals one fanwork, so if you decide you want to claim three different prompts, that means you must create three different fanworks for them.
  2. As with every PC, each work must be finished. For fics, there is a minimum word count of 100 words. No maximum word count.
  3. Any type of fanwork counts (fanfic, fanart, fanvids, gifsets, edits, translations and podfics with authors’ permission, etc.). Collaborative works are also okay. So long as they’re UraIchi-focused, anything goes.
  4. Crossovers are fine. Polyamory is also fine, so long as UraIchi is a major part of it.
  5. Feel free to claim just one square at first, and then come back later to claim another (in a new comment).
  6. There is no limit to how many squares you can claim. Bundling them in one comment is fine.
  7. There is also no limit to how many people can claim a square. I will make a list on this post of who has claimed what, but that’s just to keep track. Even if five people have already claimed a square, you are welcome to claim it as well.
  8. You can drop a claim if you feel you won’t be able to finish on time. Shit happens. Just let me know so I can cross you off the list.
  9. Even if you've dropped a claim, you can always come back and claim again.
  10. Post your completed fanworks anytime from December 20th, 2019 - January 1st, 2020 (PST). If you’re on Tumblr, tag your works with #UraIchi Prompt Challenge 4 in the first five tags so I can reblog them onto the uraichievents tumblr blog. If you’re on Dreamwidth, you can post your works to this community (instructions here). If you’re on AO3, you can add your works to the UraIchi PC4 collection (I’ll set this up once we’re closer to the posting date).
  11. Again, our end goal is to fill in the entire table so that each prompt square will have at least one completed fanwork for it. There’s no penalty if we don’t! This is just for fun, something both new and hopefully low-stress for everyone.

If you have any other questions or need clarifications, feel free to ask in the comment section below or shoot me an ask on tumblr. Or just ask me on discord :)

  1. Treat each other with respect.
  2. Only post your own creations. No plagiarism.
  3. This is a community dedicated to UraIchi content. If you have a problem with it, you know where the back-button is. Bashing/flaming/any kind of ridicule or contempt for the ship or the shippers will not be tolerated.
  4. Likewise, UraIchi is the main focus but polyships and side/background ships might appear. If you don't like them, don't read/look at that content.
  5. In general, [x] between characters would indicate a romantic/sexual relationship. [&] between characters would indicate a platonic relationship.
  6. One fanwork per post please.
  7. Preferably only tag your works with the community tags (excluding ! tags). If a fandom or ship tag that applies to your work doesn't exist yet however, feel free to include them.
  8. Remember to list out any additional tags for your fanworks. I'd rather not have a huge column of different tags on the side, so if you post your works here, include all additional tags of your fanworks on each post instead of in the tag box. You can copy/paste the posting format here. The tag box itself should only include event, fandom, ship(s), rating, warning(s), and work type(s).
If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment down below.

If you want to post your event-related fanwork here, you'll need to join this community first. Please include the event, title, and (if applicable) prompt of your fanwork in the subject heading. For the post itself, you can use this general format:

One fanwork per post. If you want to post the actual fanwork here instead of/in addition to a link, remember to place it under a cut tag. Only the general fanwork info (the stuff that's in the box above) should be visible. If you're only including a link to wherever you've posted your fanwork, then of course there's no need to use a cut tag.

For tags, you can use the ones that are available here (excluding the ones that start with !). If you feel you need to tag your post with a fandom or ship tag that doesn't exist (ie. fandom: bleach x naruto), feel free to add it, just make sure it really doesn't exist yet. Alphabetical order when it comes to fandom names in a crossover or character names in a ship would also be appreciated. And since maximum character limit per tag is fifty characters, you can just use a first name or a last name, whichever you feel is more common (so remember to triple-check the tags list).

*For those unfamiliar with Dreamwidth tags, I've set it multilevel so all tags are formatted "category: tag". For example, you would type in - fandom: bleach, ship: ichigo x kisuke, warning: nsfw, and so and so forth, separated by commas.
